Hi, am Gitu! I am a particle physicist working with the ATLAS experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. My research brings together large-scale data analysis, theoretical modelling and detector development to deepen our understanding of the fundamental building blocks of nature and the forces that govern them. Alongside my research, I am strongly committed to teaching and outreach, with a particular focus on widening participation and communicating how fundamental research connects to real-world impact.

Research Expertise

  • Experimental collider physics: precision electroweak measurements, Higgs physics
  • Data science: large-scale data analysis, statistical methods, machine learning
  • Theoretical modelling: Monte-Carlo simulation, PDFs, EFT interpretations
  • Detector development: trigger systems, calorimeter detectors, PET detectors
